Prof. Dina Tzur

Ophthalmologist and Director of the Department of Retinal Degenerative Diseases

At the Sourasky Tel Aviv Medical Center . She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal diseases in adults and children, including hereditary retinal diseases, and also directs the clinic for electrophysiology of vision. Her research focuses on the diagnosis of retinal diseases and the identification of biomarkers in common and rare diseases.

Treasurer of the Association

Ophthalmologist at Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center. Director of the Laboratory for Applied Ophthalmic Research. Engages in the diagnosis and treatment of various eye diseases, such as cataracts, glaucoma, retinal problems and corneal diseases. His research focuses on the development of new small molecule-based treatments for retinal vascular diseases, hereditary retinal diseases and clinical studies testing new treatments for retinal diseases including: gene and cell therapy, new drugs for retinal vascular diseases.

Prof. Michal Kramer

Chairman of the Committee

Ophthalmologist, Director of the Uveitis Clinic, Ophthalmology Department, Rabin Medical Center. Former Chairman of the Uveitis Section (2009-2014), within the Israeli Ophthalmological Association. Her research deals with the types of uveitis, innovative treatments, advanced imaging methods, and the study of genetic characteristics. Diagnosis and treatment of uveitis complications.

Director of the Optometry and Biometrics Service at Hadassah Medical Center.

Head of the Department of Optometry at the Jerusalem Multidisciplinary Academic Center. Her research focuses on eye diseases and their impact on vision tests, vision screening tests in children, fitting and calculating intraocular lenses for candidates for cataract surgery, and fitting contact lenses for cases of complex eye diseases.

Medical student in the MD/PhD track as part of the Medical Reserve Track - Tzameret. Won first place in the Science Museum's Young Scientists and Developers Competition in the field of life and environmental sciences.

Her research deals with the genetics of hereditary retinal diseases.

Prof. Shiri Sudari

Committee member

Ophthalmologist and Director of the Retinal Degenerative Diseases Service at Rabin Medical Center, Beilinson Campus. Her clinical areas of expertise include pharmacological and surgical treatment of various retinal diseases, such as age-related retinal degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusions, and more. Her research focuses on retinal diseases and advanced ocular imaging.

Prof. Ruby Shalom-Feuerstein

Researcher at the Faculty of Medicine at the Technion, in the Epithelial Stem Cell Laboratory.

His lab studies the process of stem cell creation and their involvement in renewal.

and in skin and corneal diseases, using innovative technologies including genetic sequencing in single cells, isolation and study of stem cells in culture, and live monitoring of stem cells in transgenic mice.

Optometrist and lecturer in the Department of Optometry, with undergraduate and graduate degrees (Israeli and international). Her research focuses on dry eye, meibomian gland insufficiency, keratoconus, and contact lenses.

Dr. Claudia Yahalom

Committee member

Ophthalmologist and director of the Michaelson Institute for Vision Rehabilitation at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of strabismus in children and adults, and the treatment and diagnosis of diseases that cause visual impairment in children, including albinism, nystagmus, and genetic diseases of the retina, etc. Her research focuses on albinism, nystagmus, and strabismus.
