Applying for an honorary degree.
Fellow of the Society for Eye and Vision Research.
The FISVER Honorary Degree is awarded to active ISVER members, in recognition of personal achievements, leadership, and significant contributions to the association.
FISVER members serve as role models and mentors for researchers and practitioners in the fields of vision and ophthalmology, and contribute to advancing the association's vision - advancing global research to understand the visual system for the prevention, treatment, and cure of its diseases, including expanding basic and clinical knowledge.
Eligibility for the FISVER title is determined according to a scoring system approved by ISVER management (last updated in August 2025), within which points are awarded for participation in various activities as detailed in the procedures.
There are two levels of associates:
Silver – minimum 30 points
Gold – minimum 50 points
